Wild n Chill leads.

the field that morning — 62 demos · hover or tap a dot for the game

Just dropped

Sixty-two demos dropped yesterday, more than four in five self-published, with Simulation and Strategy tying as the day's dominant tags. Only 15 already carry player reviews, and we set aside two crowded ones (Expedition: Into Darkness, Ship Graveyard Simulator 3) after their own reviews landed Mixed. Today's picks split between fresh arrivals chosen for craft and distinctiveness, and early movers already pulling a real read from players.

First, the big arrival you didn't need us to find: Sandcastle (Bubblebird Studio) - 321 people already playing its demo on day one, 71 demo reviews in (Very Positive).

Big crowds, mixed reviews

Not picks: these drew a real day-one crowd while their own demo reviews read Mixed or worse. A big audience the game hasn't convinced is worth knowing about either way.

Expedition: Into Darkness (Antediluvian Interactive) - 658 playing at peak on day one, but its 82 demo reviews read Mixed. Ship Graveyard Simulator 3 (Games Incubator) - 197 playing at peak on day one, but its 31 demo reviews read Mixed.

Catching on

Demos that launched in the last few days and are already getting noticed. From the moment a demo goes live we watch two things - the reviews players leave on the demo itself, and how many people are playing it right now. These are the ones where early players clearly like what they tried.
